Bachelor of Laws (Macquarie University) – majoring in Environmental Law and Management
Rowena is a qualified lawyer with experience in family law and wills & estates.
In family law parenting matters, Rowena focuses on finding outcomes for the separating family that facilitate effective co-parenting. And in family law property matters, prefers to utilise alternative dispute resolution processes such as mediation to reach financial agreements that are fair and in the best interests of her clients.
She is a competent advocate and represents clients regularly at Court.
In estates matters, Rowena is sympathetic to the difficult and emotional journey her clients are on, whilst having to administer the estate of a deceased loved one.
Prior to joining the private sector, Rowena spent several years working and volunteering at Marrickville Legal Centre and Aboriginal Legal Service Parramatta, Criminal Division.
Rowena is admitted to the Supreme Court of NSW and the High Court of Australia and is a member of the NSW Law Society.
Rowena represented Australia internationally as a member of the Australia Women’s Volleyball team between 2002 to 2010, and played professionally in the Dutch National Volleyball League from 2003 to 2009.
Rowena is also a tribunal member for AFL NSW/ACT and has also acted as a tribunal member and chair for Volleyball Australia on a number of occasions.
Away from work, Rowena can be found with her young family and dogs, usually at various parks and beaches around Sydney.
